Flexilocker is a powerful and field-proven toolkit enabling any locker to be converted into a Smart Locker. It is a complete toolkit comprising everything you need: locks, peripheral and main controllers, user and administration apps, backend and frontend.

Subject to your specific application, we can configure the toolkit for different use-cases such as residential last mile lockers, city parcel lockers, concierge or rental lockers.

MAIN CONTROLLERS

Our courier-agnostic main controllers handle the peripheral units and assures wireless connectivity to both user and the cloud-based backend. Subject to use case and configuration, we offer different types of main controllers and interfaces:

SINGLE PARCEL LOCKER

The SPL/SPL+ controller is the preferred controller for single residence locker configurations. It comes with NB-IoT modem and SIM card slot for backend connectivity and with Bluetooth (BLE) for app interaction. It also has an external keyboard enabling PIN code entry as well as locker size selection (SPL+). The difference between SPL and SPl+ is that the latter can handle multiple lockers. Both comes with onboard peripheral controller so the locks are directly connected.

MULTIPLE PARCEL LOCKER WITH EPAPER

The eMPL is the preferred controller for multiple parcel lockers in configurations with up to 16 tenants/recipients. The integrated ePaper displays the name of the tenants and assures correct addressing and notification of the deliveries while making sure that power consumption is kept at a minimum. Like the SPL, it comes with NB-IoT modem and SIM card slot for backend connectivity and with Bluetooth (BLE) for app interaction and communication with the peripheral controllers. It also has an external keyboard enabling PIN code entry as well as locker size selection. The eMPL can either be powered by standalone rechargeable batteries or via the central power supply.

MULTIPLE PARCEL LOCKER WITH TABLET

The tMPL is an Android tablet-based controller for multiple parcel locker in configurations with more than 16 tenants/recipients. With IP68 specs and housed in a dedicated enclosure, the tablet is operating in kiosk mode assuring that only the flexilocker tablet app is active on the device. This app is the interface for recipient selection, PIN code / Scanner entry and locker size selections. Connectivity with the backend is realized via the LTE modem integrated into the tablet. Communication with the peripheral units and user app interaction is via a separate Bluetooth module integrated into the tablet enclosure. The tMPL requires power via the central power supply.

LOCKS

Our standard lock is the KR-S79 electronic lock made of stainless steel. Powered by 12 V from either standalone battery pack or central power supply, the lock is designed to operate in temperature range between -30 and +55 degrees Celsius and is tested to support over 500 000 cycles.

PERIPHERAL CONTROLLERS

The peripheral controller is the electronic interface between the locks and the main controller. For maximum flexibility and cost efficiency, we offer different types of peripheral controllers and connectivity. For example, our P1 peripheral unit supports one lock and wireless connectivity over Bluetooth with the main controller. Our P16 peripheral unit allows up to 16 locks to be controlled. Both can be powered either from standalone battery packs or from the central power supply.

USER APP

The User App is the interface for each individual locker user. Available for both Android and iOS, we rebrand the apps according to your color scheme and branding. We also publish such in your name maximizing your digital exposure. Beside the actual locker access control, the user app supports features such as key sharing and pick@home.

ADMIN APP

The Admin App is the interface for the administrator of each MPL or group of MPLs. Available for both Android and iOS, also this is rebranded according to your color scheme and branding. With the Admin App the administrator can grant access to new tenants, change the content of the epaper display and access the lockers at any time.

FRONTEND / BACKEND

The Flexilocker frontend and backend are hosted on Azure – Microsoft’s cloud computing platform, and handle the central administration of each deployed locker. Here we keep all data related to each registration and logs of each movement i.e. we know exactly when and which locker was opened and closed. Here we are also monitoring status in handling of related alarms (low battery etc). Forming part of the Flexilocker backend and frontend hosting service is also access to our help desk.
